Thanksgiving Feast Reminder!

THE PRE-K MAYFLOWER! 

On Wednesday, November 21^st, our PreK classroom community will be celebrating Thanksgiving by having a Thanksgiving Lunch (chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, corn, rolls).  Thank you to everyone who is contributing! If you signed up to bring a dish served warm, please be available to bring it (ready to eat!) on Wednesday at 11:45am. Any other items can be dropped off on Wednesday morning at arrival. You DO NOT need to send in a lunch for your child. We will be eating lunch in our classroom. Please still send in a snack.

Wednesday is also an early release day with dismissal at 1:00.

We're Going On A Leaf Hunt!

Inspired by the book....

Pre-K went on a leaf hunt! 

Stopped for some silly selfies!

Everyone say cheese!

We explored nature and collected so many leaves!

                                               All different shapes, sizes and colors!

We brought our leaves back to the classroom.

The next day, we investigated leaves by sorting through them and trying to match them!

There were lots of oak and maple leaves!

Each student chose their favorite leaf ...

and came up with 2 words to describe it.

For example: My leaf is big and read. 

Learning how to "read to self" and take care of our books!

SO much fun and learning going on in room 204!

Thank You Veterans!

We had a heart felt Veterans Day Celebration at Roxbury School! We honored Veterans, sang songs, read a magazine to learn about Veterans and thanked our Veterans for keeping us safe!  Happy Veterans Day!

Pre-K VOTES!

After reading, "Splat the Cat for President", we talked about voting and elections! 

We chose 3 of our favorite books (see below) and had our own election in Pre-K!

Everyone got a ballot to vote :)

We tallied up the votes and although it was close....

After the election, we read the winning book and we enjoyed it....again!!!!
