In the story, "We're Going on a Leaf Hunt", three friends go on a leaf hunt adventure! They find different types of leaves from different types of trees. The book uses different preposition words such as over, through and under while collecting the colorful fall leaves. This book is a similar version to the book, "We're Going on a Bear Hunt".
After reading this story, we grabbed our paper bags and decided to go our our own fall leaf hunt adventure!

More collecting.... |

Back to the classroom to study our leaves |
Some were small, some were big... |
All different colors, shapes and sizes.... |
Some had smooth edges and some were bumpy.... |
A few items from our collection! We found a few other things on our leaf hunt, too. We matched leaves to print outs of different leaves from different trees. Around our school we found Oak Tree leaves, Birch Tree leaves and Maple Tree leaves. |
Then, we chose a favorite leaf and said two things about it. For example, my leaf is small and yellow. These are hanging outside of our classroom for all to see!
We had so much fun on our leaf hunt adventure! So much to learn and so many activities to do with leaves!!!! |
