Which Apple Did You Like The Best?

Today, we were scientists and used our senses for an apple taste test! We tested red delicious, granny smith and yellow delicious. Pre-K really enjoyed these yummy apples! These little scientists sorted the apples, discussed the color and size, counted and of course, learned about the parts of an apple.

Apparently, Golden Delicious was not a favorite, but the kids still really enjoyed them!

Apples for Everyone!

Pre-K is kicking off our apple unit with apple name puzzles! We cut out each piece to strengthen our fine motor and work on our cutting skills. Then, we matched the letters in our name and identified each letter. These little scholars even remembered to include the stem and leaf! We are reading fiction and non-fiction stories from books and Scholastic magazines. Next up...apple taste testings, apple life cycle, parts of an apple, apple sorting and counting and some more fun apple projects! Check out the pictures below!

September Family Projects!

We are off and running (and sweating...but, hopefully not too much longer!) in Pre-K! :) It's been so nice getting to know my new group of kiddos! I can already tell...this year is going to be FUN!
