Meet Sparkles!

After our Super Tooth presentation, we came back to class for a super fun, super tooth activity! "Sparkles" even made a special appearance in our classroom! Sparkles new home is Roxbury, to remind us to brush our teeth twice a day!

Choosing foods that make our teeth happy :) and sad :(   ....

Pre-K did an awesome job deciding foods which foods we should eat every day and which foods we should just eat sometimes.
We finished up the lesson by reading "My Tooth is Loose, Dr. Moose!"

Super Tooth!

Super Tooth came to Roxbury for a visit to teach us about keeping our teeth clean and healthy! We learned that foods and drinks such as apples, broccoli, milk and water are good for our teeth. It's okay to sometimes have other foods such as chocolate, chips, candy and soda, but we have to remember to brush our teeth...at least twice a day! SMILE!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

For Chinese New Year, we read books about the tradition of this holiday, made fierce dragon puppets to scare away bad luck, colored a poem place mat, and learned about the animals of the Chinese Zodiac! This year, is the year of the sheep.
We practiced saying Gung Hay Fat Choy (Have a happy and prosperous New Year)!

Can you guess what letter this is?

We formed it with our bodies!
Hint....it comes after "g"!

African Drumming Performance!

On top of the 100th day of school, we also had an assembly for Black History Month! Mr. Jones came to visit Roxbury and taught us about African music, dancing and instruments. We learned so much and had a BLAST! We hope he will come visit us again. Mr. Jones chose a few students from our class to join the performance....what a day!
